Certified Demand Planning and Forecasting Professional (CDPFP) 

For years, firms in India have been using demand planning and forecasting as an integral part of their growth strategy. At the same time, they find forecast accuracy a cause for concern.

ISCM launches a unique Certificate program in Demand Planning and Forecasting. CDPFP will be a distance education course with classroom assistance provided to those who want it.

CDPFP is developed to provide participants with a solid understanding of the important techniques and components associated with integrated Demand Planning, Forecasting, and S&OP. The course will cover core techniques, tools, and best practices. The program is beneficial to individuals with broad planning responsibilities as well as individuals with more focused areas of concern.

Certificate Requirements

Certificates must be completed within 6 months of registration. To obtain the CDPFP certification you should either:

  • Successfully complete a Two-day workshop on Demand Planning and Sales Forecasting currently offered as an in-person workshop in various locations, and clear the exam at the end of the session.
  • Successful complete on-line modules. You will have to submit all assignments on time and complete all readings to be eligible for the certificate.

  • Forecasting Models and Techniques
  • Measuring Forecast Performance
  • Managing Forecasts: Different Approaches
  • Integrating external factors into the forecast
  • Sales and Operations Planning
  • Framework for S&OP
  • Integrated Business Planning

Course Material

ISCM will provide comprehensive reading material for each module. In addition, for distance education candidates, ISCM will offer e-mail and skype based mentoring.

Eligibility – Graduates with three years’ work experience in Demand Planning and forecasting.

Evaluation and Certification

DPA follows a continuous assessment process which includes MCQ, case analysis, assignments and numerical problems. These reflect the realities of the business environment. Candidates have to complete the case analysis, assignments, and worksheets and send it to DPA as a part of their evaluation.

Fee Structure:

CDPFP has a layered fee structure:

Certification – INR 10,000/-*

Enrollment and study Material Fee – INR 30,000/-*

Exam Fee – INR 20,000/-*

Two day Workshop – INR 30,000/-*

*The above fee does not include GST. GST of 18% will be applicable on the above fees.

ISCM can offer CDPFP as an In-House program for organizations who wish to develop their demand planning and forecasting teams. Ideally, ISCM would look at a team size of 10 for the program. Fee structure for such In-House programs can be mutually decided.

Successful candidates will receive one year free subscription for Demand Planning Review – a quarterly publication on demand planning from ISCM Media.
